Brown was Public Works Director for Platte City from 1998-2001, has been a small business owner, and served in the United States Army Reservs. He earned his MA in Public Administration from Drake University and BA from Northwest Missouri State University.
Brown is a Deacon at the First Christian Church of Platte City and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4055. He is married and has 2 children.[1]
