Jason Reese was a Republican candidate in the February 14, 2012 special election for the Oklahoma State Senate, District 46. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when Andrew Rice (D) resigned in order to move out of state where his wife has taken a job.[1]

Reese was defeated by Rep. Al McAffrey (D) in the special election. McAffrey won by a 1,258-630 margin.[2]

The special election had been scheduled for April 3, 2012. However, since a primary election was not necessary, the primary election on February 14, 2012 served as the general election.[3][4][5]
