Jay Schmelling was a 2010 Democratic candidate for District 35 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.


Schmelling has worked in business development for the Wisconsin Pipe Trades Association. He also has had an active role in the Bio-Industry Alliance.[1]

Schmelling was defeated by Republican Tom Tiffany in the November 2 general election. He was unopposed in the primary election.[2]
