Jay Swearingen (b. October 21, 1966) is a Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 31 from 2011 to 2013, and District 18 since January 7, 2013.

Swearingen earned his MS in public administration from the University of North Texas and his BA in journalism from Texas State University.
