Eldridge earned his BA in Education/Counseling from Marshall University. He went on to receive his MA in Counseling and his LSW in Social Work from Marshall University.
Eldridge was a candidate for the West Virginia State House of Delegates in 2002 but was not elected. He was elected to the House in 2004 and has served in that position since. He represents the 19th District.[1]

Elections
2012
Eldridge won election in the 2012 election for West Virginia House of Delegates, District 22. Eldridge and incumbent Josh Stowers defeated Bill Bryant, Ed Triplett, and Gloria Triplett in the May 8 primary election. He was challenged by Josh Stowers, Gary Johngrass, and Michel Moffatt in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]
2010
Eldridge did not run for re-election to West Virginia House of Delegates District 19. He ran for West Virginia Senate District 7 against incumbent Ron Stollings and was defeated in the primary election on May 11, 2010.
2008
In 2008 Eldridge was re-elected to the West Virginia House District 19. Eldridge(D) finished with 13,511 votes. He finished behind Greg Butcher (D) who had 16,828 votes and Josh Stowers (D) with 13,846 votes. Eldridge was in front of Ralph Rodighiero (D) who had 13,381 votes.[5] Eldridge raised $26,492 for his campaign fund.[6]
