Whittemore ran for election in the 2012 election for Vermont State Senate Windsor District. Whittemore was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and was defeated in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]

Jeff Whittemore ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Windsor 2 in 2010. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on August 24, 2010. He lost to incumbent Ernest Shand (D) in the November 2, 2010 general election.[2]
