Special election
Bryan ran in the special election for District 52 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. The seat was vacant following Tommy L. Woods's (R) resignation on July 30, 2012. Bryan faced Van Wicker and Bill Kinkade in the non-partisan race on November 6, 2012. Since no candidate received a majority, a runoff took place between Kinkade and Bryan on November 27, which Bryan lost.[1][2][3]
