Jerome Delvin is a Washington state senator, currently serving the 8th district.[1] He is serving his second term and is a member of the Republican Party. Delvin has had 27 years of police work experience.

Education

Delvin earned his AS in Criminal Justice from Columbia Basin College. He went on to receive his AA in Literature from Columbia Basin College in 1981.

Professional experience

Delvin was in the Military Police for the United States Army from 1974 to 1977. He was a security patrol officer for Rockwell Hanford Company from 1978 to 1979. He then worked as a police officer for the Richland Police Department from 1979 to 2007.

Political experience

Delvin served the Washington State House of Representatives from 1994 to 2004. He was the Assistant Majority Leader from 1997 to 1999. He was then the Assistant Republican Floor Leader from 1999 to 2000. Delvin was appointed to the Washington State Senate in 2004 and has served in that capacity since. Since 2007 he has been the Deputy Republican Whip.

Delvin is married to his wife, Josie. They have 5 children and eleven grandchildren.
