Gisclair is the owner of Bayou Portuguese Citrus Farm, and the Coastal Broadcasting Network. He has previously been the owner of E.U.I., worked as a technician/manager for Latelco and SolaCom, and served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
Gisclair is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Chamber of Lafourche, LAB, NAB, SLHS Booster Club, and the American Legion.[1]

Because Louisiana uses a blanket primary system, a candidate can be declared the overall winner of the seat by garnering 50 percent +1 of the vote in the primary.

In 2007, Gisclair was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives. He defeated Mitchell Theriot.[2]
