Mitchell served as Superintendent of the Dixon Public School District from 1993-1994 and Assistant Superintendent from 1983-1993. He was also Principal of Rock Falls Junior High School from 1981-1983, and Junior High Principal of Danville Public Schools from 1976-1981.[1]
