Jim Duncan is a 2016 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of North Carolina.[1]

Duncan was a potential 2014 Republican candidate for the 2nd Congressional District of North Carolina in 2014.[2] Duncan did not file to run in the primary election.

Biography

Duncan serves as the chair of the Chatham County Republican Party.[3]

Duncan is running in the 2016 election for the U.S. House to represent North Carolina's 2nd District. The general election will take place November 8, 2016.

After incumbent Renee Ellmers (R) helped pull an anti-abortion bill, she upset many members of her base. These actions helped inspire a primary challenge against her.[3]

Duncan considered running in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent North Carolina's 2nd District. Duncan sought the Republican nomination in the primary on May 6, 2014, but dropped out of the race prior to the filing deadline.
