Jim Kastama is a Washington state senator, currently serving the 25th district.[1] He has occupied his senate seat since 2000 and is a member of the Democratic Party.
Education
Kastama attended Claremont Men's College. He went on to earn his BA from the University of California - Berkeley.
Professional experience
Kastama is part of the part time faculty at South Puget Sound Community College.
Political experience
Kastama served in the Washington State House of Representatives from 1996 to 2000. From 1999 to 2000 he was House Assistant Democratic Leader. In 2001 he joined the Washington State Senate and served as Democratic Assistant Whip. He has represented the 25th district since.
