Jim McMillan was a 2012 Republican candidate for South Carolina House of Representatives in District 36.

McMillan initially filed to run but was decertified. He filed and was accepted as a Petition Candidate and was on the ballot for the November 6 general election where he was defeated.[1]

McMillan was an Independent candidate for the District 36 in the South Carolina House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. He was defeated by incumbent Merita Ann Allison (R) in the November 2 general election.[2].
