McReynolds is currently owns Chapparel Energy Incorporated. He has previously worked as a History Professor at Stephen F. Austin State University, Research Assistant to Miss Ima Hogg, Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and a Public School Teacher in the Port Arthur Independent School District.
He serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club, is a member of the Philosophical Society of Texas, and founder/member of Project Belize.[1]
