Campaign themes

On August 25, 2013, Prochaska stated his campaign goals:[1]

"Possibly the major issue is the challenge of student achievement. We have several schools in need of assistance. Another challenge is somewhat the adherence to several different standard-making organizations, the biggest one being the Iowa Common Core. Often as teachers there are so many different standards to deal with, it can be challenging. I think one of the essences of student achievement is home life and parental contact. These are high priorities that I see. Getting community engagement."
