Jimmie Moore was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Pennsylvania.[1]

Biography

After graduating from law school, Moore went to work at the Brooklyn Legal Aid Society. Not long after, he was appointed as the first African-American Assistant General for the State of Delaware. Moore later founded a law firm, J. Moore & Associates. In 1999, he was elected judge in the Philadelphia Municipal Court. During his time as judge, Moore founded a community program that provided underemployed residents and ex-offenders an opportunity to become legal secretaries and paralegals.[2]

Moore was running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Pennsylvania's 1st District. Moore appeared on initial lists but was not on the April 24, 2012, primary ballot.[3]
