Sharp was defeated for the positon in District 37. She was one of three candidates running for two positions in District 37 on the ballot in the November 2, 2010 general election. She was defeated by Democrat incumbent William Hartman and Democrat Denise L. Campbell. The top two vote-getters were elected. She was unopposed in the May 11 primary. [3][4]
