Kyrillos graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Hobart College. He later received a M.S. in Communications from Boston University.[2] Kyrillos is a Commercial Real Estate Broker for GVA Williams.

Kyrillos ran for U.S. Senate in 2012.[6] He defeated Bader Qarmout, Joe Rullo, and David Douglas Brown in the June 5 Republican primary. He lost to Democratic incumbent Bob Menendez in the general election.[7][8][9]

Kyrillos won re-election to the District 13 State Senate seat in the 2011 election. He was unopposed in the June 7 Republican primary. Kyrillos defeated Stephen Boracchia (I), Mac Dara Lyden (I), and Karen Anne Zaletel (I) in the general election which took place on November 8, 2011. [10]

In 2007 Kyrillos was elected to the New Jersey State Senate District 13. Kyrillos (R) finished with 25,119 votes while his opponent Leonard Inzerillo (D) finished with 16,267 votes.[11] Kyrillos raised $395,333 for his campaign fund.[12]
