Issues
Seiwert's website lists his legislative priorities as local control and adequate funding of * Education Committee, Kansas House of Representatives, promoting new businesses and protecting existing ones, affordable and reliable energy, and accountability for government spending and waste.[1]
He refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[2]

Seiwert won re-election to the District 101 House seat in 2012. He defeated Mark E. Holick and Jamey Blubaugh in the August 7 Republican primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
