Seng ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Iowa's 2nd District. Seng sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket.[2] Seng was defeated by incumbent Dave Loebsack in the Democratic primary.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag;
