Joe Seng (b. September 27, 1946) is a Democratic member of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 45 since 2013. He previously represented District 43 from 2003 to 2013. Seng was a Councilman for the City of Davenport. He served in the Iowa State House of Representative from 2000 to 2002. Seng was a 2012 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 2nd Congressional District of Iowa. He was defeated by incumbent Dave Loebsack in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012.[1]

Seng ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Iowa's 2nd District. Seng sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket.[2] Seng was defeated by incumbent Dave Loebsack in the Democratic primary.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no content must have a name Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of March 16, 2012. The primary elections took place on June 5, 2012.[3]
