Issues
Gas tax
May compared opponents of a gas tax hike to homeowners who don’t want to pay their gas or electric bills. May said transportation needs to be treated as a utility, or Virginia isn’t going to compare favorably with her neighbors.
“I’m concerned when we cross the North Carolina line, we’re going to look like East Berlin if we stay on this track,” May said.[2]

May is running in the 2013 election for Virginia House of Delegates District 33. May is opposed by Dave A. LaRock in the June 11 Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 5, 2013.

On November 8, 2011, May won re-election to District 33 of the Virginia House of Delegates. He was uncontested in the August 23 primary and ran unopposed in the November 8 general election.[4]
