Joe Ward was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 4 of the Kansas State Senate.

Ward recently retired after serving in the Kansas City, KS Police Department for 31 years and reaching the rank of Major. He current owns and operates an electronics securities business with his wife Debi.

Ward attended MidAmerica Nazarene University, receiving a Master's degree in Organizational Administration with an “Emphasis in Leadership” and a Bachelor's degree in Management and Human Relations.[1]

Ward ran in the 2012 election for Kansas State Senate District 4. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 7 was defeated by incumbent David Haley (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]
