John Arthur Williams was a 2011 Independent candidate for District 32 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He specifically listed "No Party" on his candidate filing.

Williams stated that he ran for office "because I feel that many of our rights are being infringed upon or outright taken away. If we are not willing to challenge the status quo no telling what will happen. I intend to speak out on many of the educational, social and regulatory issues facing our great state at this time."[1]
