John C. Tidwell (b. August 15, 1941) is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 74 from 1996 to 2014.

Biography

Tidwell attended post-graduate studies at Caste Heights Military Academy in Lebanon. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1966. He is a civil engineer. Tidwell has served on the New Johnsonville City Council and the Humphreys County Commission.

Jay Reedy defeated Keith Svadba in the Republican primary. Reedy defeated Tidwell in the general election.[1][2]
