John Carney (b. September 30, 1969) is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 51 and serving as State House Minority Whip. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008.

Carney won re-election to the 51st District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He received 12,905 votes.

Carney ran unopposed in the May 18 Republican primary election.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Carney was elected to the 51st District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives, defeating Billy Joe Fudge (D). [3] Carney raised $24,592 for his campaign, while Fudge raised $6,910. [4]
