Meadows is Vice President of Life and Health for the Starr-Mathews Agency, Incorporated. He previously worked in sales for Mass Mutual, and was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Meadows served as Mayor of the City of Calhoun from 1986-1998, and on the City Council from 1983-1986.[1]

Meadows ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 5. Meadows ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Howard Johnson ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [2] Meadows defeated Howard Johnson in the general election.[3]
2010
Neal ran for re-election to the 5th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the July 20 primary and no one filed to run against him in the general election. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[4]
