John Ewing was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 2nd Congressional District of Nebraska. He defeated Gwen Howard in the May 15, 2012 primary. He lost to Republican incumbent Lee Terry in the November general election.[1]
Biography
Ewing earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in Business Administration and Criminal Justice and his master's degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in Urban Studies. He was an Associate Minister at the Salem Baptist Church in Omaha and an adjunct professor in leadership at the University of Nebraska's School of Public Administration before he became a police officer in the same city. He currently serves as the Treasurer of Douglas County. [2]
