Pannell was defeated by incumbent Gregg Harper.[1] Pannell ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Mississippi's 3rd District. As the nominee on the Reform ticket, Pannell faced incumbent Gregg Harper (Republican) in the November 2012 general election.[2]
