John McBurney (b. December 8, 1950) has been a Democratic member of the Rhode Island Senate since 1974, representing the 15th district.

Education

McBurney earned his BA from the University of Rhode Island in 1972. He went on to receive his JD from Suffolk University in 1977.

McBurney is an attorney as well as president of McBurney Law Services, Incorporated.
