John Minore was a 2014 judicial candidate for the Yuma County Superior Court in Arizona.[1] This will be Minore's third attempt at running for judge. His first attempt was in 2004 running against Superior Court Judge Tom Cole. He also ran in 2008 for an empty seat but lost to current Superior Court Judge Maria Elena Cruz.[2]

Minore was a 2012 Republican write-in candidate for District 13 of the Arizona House of Representatives.


Minore holds two degrees from the University of Arizona. He earned his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1992.[2]


Minore has practiced law for over 20 years and runs his own firm in Yuma.[2]

Minore ran in the 2012 election for Arizona House of Representatives District 13 as a write-in candidate. Incumbent Steve Montenegro and Darin Mitchell defeated incumbent Russ Jones in the Republican primary on August 28, 2012. He was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
