John Otterman was a Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He represented District 45 from 2009 to 2011. Otterman has also been a council member for Akron City Council.

Otterman is an environmental consultant.

Otterman attended University of Akron. He and his wife, Jance, have two children; John Jay and Jenna.
