John Russell was a 2012 unaffiliated candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 12th Congressional District of Florida. Russell was the Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Florida, District 5, in 2006 and 2008.[1] He was defeated by Gus Bilirakis on November 6, 2012.[2]

Russell ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Florida's 12th District. Russell sought the nomination on the third-party ticket, with no party affiliation.
