Viola is a Labor Law Enforcement Officer with the State of Delaware and an Apprenticeship and Training Specialist. He served in the Air National Guard from 1972-1974 and the Unites States Air Force in Vietnam from 1969-1972.[1]

Viola won re-election to the 26th District Seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the September 14 primary. Viola defeated Hans-Erik Janco (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Viola won re-election to the Delaware House of Representatives from Delaware's 26th District, defeating Jeremy Filliben (R). Viola received 6,316 votes in the election while Filliben received 1,586 votes.[4] Vila raised $14,650 for his campaign; Filliben raised $10,831.[5]
