John Windle (b. May 21, 1962) is a Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 41. He was first elected to the chamber in 1994. From 1997 to 2000, he served as Majority Floor Leader.

Biography

Windle earned his BS in Finance from the University of Tennessee. He went on to receive his JD from the University of Tennessee. He is a practicing attorney and former Assistant District Attorney General. Windle served in the Tennessee Army National Guard as a Captain.

Windle won re-election in the 2012 election for Tennessee House of Representatives, District 41. Windle ran unopposed in the August 2 primary election and defeated Bobby Stewart (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
