John Witteneben (b. May 2, 1955) is a former Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 7 from 2011 to 2013.
Wittneben has owned and operated his own land surveying business, Wittneben Land Surveying, since 2001. He previously worked as a surveyor in the natural gas pipeline industry and as an inspector at Seabrook Nuclear Power Station in Seabrook, NH. He served on the Estherville, IA City Council from 2008 to 2010 and is a board member and past president of the Estherville Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as a member of the Friends of Fort Defiance, a community organization dedicated to improving Fort Defiance State Park, and on the Good Samaritan Citizen Advisory Board in Estherville. Wittneben holds an A.A. from Iowa Lakes Community College.
