John Wood is a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 65th District since 2008.

Wood is Chief Executive Officer of John Wood Enterprises. He has also been an attorney and realtor.

Wood ran for re-election to the 65th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the August 24 primary. Wood defeated Joshua Davis (NPA) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Wood won election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 65th District, defeating Bob Hagenmaier (D). Wood received 35,398 votes in the election while Hagenmaier received 32,948 votes.[4] Wood raised $207,569 for his campaign; Hagenmaier raised $12,086.[5]
