Jonathan Sternberg (b. September 29, 1981) was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 24 of the Missouri House of Representatives.
Sternberg is an appellate lawyer with his own civil and criminal practice in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri,[1] where he also lives. He earned a JD from the the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2007, and a BA in History from the University of Kansas in 2003.[1] Born in Connecticut, he grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating from the Pembroke Hill School in 1999.
In 2008, Sternberg was elected by the Republican voters of Downtown Kansas City to serve as the Ward 1 Jackson County Republican Committeeman, and has served in that position since then, being reelected in 2010 and running unopposed in 2012.[2][3][4] Since 2010, he also has served as the 10th Senatorial District (urban/suburban Kansas City) Republican State Committeeman.[5] Sternberg is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Missouri Bar.[1]

Sternberg ra in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 24. Sternberg ran unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and was defeated by District 39 incumbent Judy Morgan (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]
