Elections
2012
Jenkins won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 44. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012 and defeated Gail Powers (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012. [1][2]
2010
Jenkins won re-election to the 44th District seat, receiving 8,459 votes. [3] Jenkins faced Republican candidate Gail Powers, contingent upon Ms. Powers' court appeal. In early October, a circuit court judge ruled that Gail Powers was ineligible for the 44th House District race. According to the court, Powers gathered an invalid signature on her candidacy paperwork. Powers will remain on the November general election ballot, however, any votes cast for her will be invalid unless she wins her appeal. [4]
Jenkins had no opposition in the Democratic primary.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Jenkins was re-elected to the 44th District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives with no opposition. [5] She raised $15,525 for her campaign. [6]
