Joyce Broadsword (b. June 18, 1958) has been a Republican member of the Idaho Senate since 2004. Broadsword was re-elected in November of 2008 with her term expiring in 2010.
Broadsword has owned three different businesses since 1978 in the home building industry and was an Executive Assistant for the Downtown Sandpoint Business Association in 2004.
Broadsword was actively involved in politics before becoming a Senator. Broadsword served as a campaign volunteer for U.S. Senator Larry Craig and Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthrone. Broadsword was also a city coordinator for Congressman Butch Otter in 2002
Broadsword graduated with her diploma from Sandpoint Senior High School in 1976.
