Joyce Johnson was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 13th Congressional District of New York.

Johnson worked for a distillery and rose to become the corporation's national director of equal employment opportunity. She then went into public service, working in various positions in New York City government.[1]

Johnson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent New York's 13 District. She sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket. She faced incumbent Charles Rangel, Adriano Espaillat, Craig Schley and Clyde Williams in the June 26 Democratic primary. Rangel won the primary.[3][4]
