Pichardo won re-election in District 2. He was unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 11, 2012. Pichardo defeated Ramon A. Perez (I) and Luis E. Pimentel (I) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]

Pichardo was re-elected in District 2. He defeated Republican Robert Kenny III in the November 2 general election. He defeated Luis Pimentel in the September 14 Democratic primary. [2]
