The Judiciary Committee is a standing committee of the Alaska House of Representatives.

Per the Uniform Rules, committees of the Alaska House of Representatives are assigned by the Committee on Committees. The Committee on Committees is appointed by the Speaker of the House and has five members including the Speaker. Committees are assigned after each election.[1] What constitutes a quorum for committees is not defined. The Speaker is not recognized as an "ex officio" member of any committee.

Function

Per Uniform Rule 20-a, the Judiciary Committee is to consider "the programs and activities of the Alaska Court System and the Department of Law, and the legal and substantive review of bills referred to it for that purpose."[2]
