Issues
Sen. Lynn recently co-sponsored a resolution encouraging the funding of a U.S. Airborne Laser defense program[2]. She also co-sponsored resolutions regarding states' rights[3] and selection of justices of the supreme court[4]. In 2008, she co-sponsored a bill to repeal part of the constitution relating to the franchise tax[5].

Lynn won re-election in 2012. She was unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and defeated Merlin D. Ring in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7][8]

The Kansas Economic Freedom Index is a project of Bob Weeks, creator of the blog Voice For Liberty in Wichita. The purpose of the Index "is to identify Kansas legislators who vote in favor of economic freedom — and those who don’t."[12] Legislators receive a rating from 0-100 percent based on their votes on bills promoting economic freedom.
