Adams' opponents in the November 2 general election were Democratic candidate Nellie Stallings and Libertarian candidate Matthew Linker. According to official results, Adams defeated Stallings and Linker with 11,449 votes; Stallings received 6,256 votes and Linker received 492 votes.
