Julius Anthony Melendez was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of Florida. Melendez was defeated by Todd Long in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012.[1]

Biography

Melendez is a native Floridian. He was born on Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida, on December 30, 1977.[2]

Melendez ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Florida's 9th District. Melendez sought the nomination on the Republican ticket.[3] The primary elections were held on August 14, 2012. Melendez was defeated by Todd Long in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012.[1]

Melendez and his wife Marjorie have three children.[2]
