K-12 School District Receivership Study Committee, Arizona Legislature

The K-12 School District Receivership Study Committee is a standing committee of the Arizona Legislature.

Function

  • (1) causes of school district financial miscalculation of budgets;
  • (2) the role and responsibility of the school districts, the Department of Education, the County School Superintendent and the County Treasurer in the issuance and registration of school district warrants; and
  • (3) the possible extension of school district receivership statutes.

The Committee shall submit an initial report on or before December 15, 2007 that summarizes the Committee's recommendations to the Governor, President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and provide a copy of this report to the Secretary of State and the Director of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records.
