Kalbert K. Young is the Director of Finance, also known as the Treasurer, in Hawaii.[1] He was first appointed to the position by Gov. Neil Abercrombie on February 15, 2011. Young's term ended on December 1, 2014, but no decision was made on reappointment as of December 16, 2014.


Prior to his appointment, he served as the direct of the Department of Finance for Maui County. He also previously worked for the Kapalua Land Co. and Kamehameha Schools. While at the Kamehameha Schools, he worked in the government relations, budget and financial planning and internal audit departments.[2]
