Boback received her Supervisory Certificate and attended School Guidance Counseling courses at the University of Scranton. She went on to receive her BS in Elementary/Special Education and her MS in Education/Certification-Technology from College Misericordia. She then earned her MS in Elementary School Guidance Counseling from Marywood University. She later acquired her PhD in Organizational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
Boback has worked as a Teacher/Guidance Counselor for Tunkhannock Area School District. She has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at College Misericordia.
In 2007, Boback joined the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She has served in that position since, representing the 117th District.
