Kathy Manderino (b. October 28, 1958) is a former Pennsylvania secretary of labor and industry. She was nominated to the position by Governor Tom Wolf (D) on January 20, 2015, and confirmed by the state Senate in May 2015.[1] She resigned on August 1, 2017, in order to join the state's Gaming Control Board.[2]

Manderino is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 194 from 1993 to 2010.[3]

Manderino previously worked as the campaign manager for the Campaign for Fair Education Funding, a statewide coalition aimed at advocating for a fair and adequate public education funding solution for Pennsylvania. She also worked as the senior vice president of Intercommunity Action Inc., an organization providing housing and services to people with intellectual disabilities and behavioral needs. In addition, Manderino has worked as a researcher for the Council for Labor and Industry, as well as the Philadelphia Area Labor-Management Commission. After earning her law degree in 1989, Manderino worked as an attorney for Fox Rothschild O'Brien and Frankel from 1989 to 1992.[4]

Manderino has served in this position since her appointment on January 20, 2015, and confirmed by the state senate in May 2015.[1] She resigned on August 1, 2017, in order to join the state's Gaming Control Board.[2]

Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1993-2010)

Manderino is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 194 from 1993 to 2010. Manderino served as Democratic Chair of the Subcommittee on Family Law, and also served as a volunteer for various political campaigns from 1976 to 2006.[4]

On November 4, 2008, Manderino won re-election to the 194th District seat of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He received 25,984 votes, defeating Republican W. James Kernaghan (2,669).[5]
