Burke is a staff attorney at Saint Xavier University. Previously, she practiced law privately, specializing in family and insurance law. She also clerked for two circuit court judges and was a legislative aide for former state Representative Andrew J. McGann. Burke earned her B.A. from the University of Illinois and her J.D. from John Marshall Law School. She and her husband, Terry, have three children.
